The Sleeping Astronomer
Home to a scenic rock formation long known in local lore, the Sleeping Astronomer Forest was donated to the Forest Society in 2005. The rock formation resembles the famed Old Man of the Mountain lying on his back. The property includes the moderate Loop Trail (.83 miles), which provides scenic views of historic downtown Littleton.

From the south: Interstate-93, exit 40. Take a left onto Route 302 West. Site is on left, just before the Elks Club.
From the north: Interstate-93, exit 40. Go right, then turn around at first safe opportunity to head west on Route 302. Site is on left, just before Elks Club.
